PELAKON Kirk Douglas meninggal dunia pada usia 103 tahun kerana penyakit strok. Berita kematian Kirk disahkan oleh anak lelakinya yang juga aktor, Michael Douglas, dalam satu kenyataan kepada majalah People. "Dengan rasa sedih, saya mengumumkan bahawa Kirk Douglas berusia 103 tahun telah meninggalkan kami pada hari Rabu. "Di mata dunia, dia adalah seorang legenda, seorang pelakon pada zaman kegemilangan perfileman di era emasnya, dan seorang yang komited dalam misi memperjuangkan kemanusiaan dan keadilan,” kata Michael menerusi laman Instagram. Terdahulu, pada tahun 1991, mendiang Krik Douglas pernah terlibat dalam kemalangan helikopter tetapi selamat. Mengikut rekod, mendiang Krik pernah membintangi filem ikonik hollywood seperti filem I dan Spartus.
